Jesus gave us an example to pray to God for our daily bread (Matthew 6:11).
Physical bread is necessary for life, and the early disciples did eat (Acts 2:46).
But our Savior showed us that there is other food that sustains us, and in better ways.
He said, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work” (John 4:34). He set the platinum standard for what it means not to live by physical bread alone, but by the Word of God (Matthew 4:4).
He gave Himself so that we could live through Him, becoming spiritual nourishment – the bread of life (John 6:35).
These posts are a humble attempt of providing encouragement for any kindred souls who want to walk the straight and narrow way blazed by the Author and Finisher of our faith, a supplement meant to build our spiritual well-being.
They will cover anything from highlights from daily Bible reading to summaries of sermons, and information about the people and events of the church.
As the Word of God should be bread to us, may they serve as breadcrumbs leading us down the path of life together.
